Abstract

El 11 de marzo del presente año la OMS (Organización Mundial de la Salud) declara PANDEMIA al brote causado por el SARS2-COV19. Cuyo epicentro tuvo inicio en el continente asiático, en Wuhan. Cuando el virus llega a Latinoamérica y particularmente al Perú se encuentra con un precario sistema de salud que no se da abasto para atención de tantos casos entre leves, moderados y graves. En Perú se reporta el 1er caso el 06 de marzo y el 17 en nuestra ciudad de Iquitos; tratándose de un hombre de 52 años, trabajador del sector turismo y que tuvo contacto" con un numeroso grupo de personas asíntomaticas que procedían del extranjero En Loreto la situación no ha sido ajena al resto del Perú y se podría decir que hasta es peor. Es por ello que las autoridades regiones y del Hospital Regional de Loreto ha solicitado el mayor apoyo posible de todo el personal de Salud que esté dispuesto a unirse a la lucha.(1,2,3) Nosotros en calidad de bachilleres de Medicina, sin contar con un título profesional debido a los atrasos administrativos y logísticos que ha generado la pandemia, no hemos sido ajenos a este llamado y desde entonces hemos venido realizando una ardua labor propia de profesionales médicos en atención a los pacientes afectados por el coronavirus.
