Abstract
The study was carried out in a forest área of 344 989,29 ha located in the Torrres Causana district, Loreto, Peru. A forest inventory with the stratified design at recognition level was applied in sixteen 0,5-ha sample units where information of all forest species ≥ 10 cm DB was gathered. Results report 1174 tree individuals, distirbuted in 95 species, 84 genera aHnd 34 families. The high-terrace forest reported the highest number of tree individuals of 407 trees/ha for the 25 species with the highest number of individuals while the mid-terrace forest reported the lowest number of tree individuals of 285,50 trees/ha. The 25 most important species in the high-terrace forest exhibit the highest IVI of 260% (86,67% of the total) and the lowest IVI of 195,63% (65,21% of the total) was found in the low-hill forest. The 25 most important species in the high-terrace forest reported the highest volume of 133,20 m3/ha (94,20% of the total) and the low-terrace forest reported the lowest volumen of 87,88 m3/ha (84,34% of the total). The low-hill forest shows the highest prersent value of S/. 32 594,54/ha while the low-terrace forest shows the lowest present value of S/. 18 735,51/ha.
