Abstract
corresponden a luteína y quercetina respectivamente.
The purpose of this study was the isolation of lutein and quercetin of the plant species Tagetes erecta (HBK). Is desengraso with petroleum ether by partition of phases. The ethanolic fraction of sample of leave of the Tagetes erecta (HBK) Eichl "marigold, pink sisa", I' was treated with sulfuric acid 7% during two hours. The suspension was coaled and extracted severa! time with diethilic ether. The ethanolic solution is extracted with solution 10% Borax that for reaction with clohidric acid is separated a substance yellow. The concentration of the solution etheric gives at her yellow powder. The measurement of melting point of both sample give: 316-317 .5 ºC comparative data show tha 316-317 ºC is quercetin. The test of spectrometric (UV-Visible, RMN H y C-13), to make evident the both compounds isolated correspond to lutein and quercetin respective.
