Nivel de conocimientos de los estudiantes de medicina humana de los dos últimos años de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana sobre el manejo de la fluidoterapia en diarreas agudas en pacientes menores de 5 años de Iquitos 2018

Abstract
El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el nivel de conocimientos de los estudiantes
de Medicina Humana de los dos últimos años de la Universidad Nacional de la
Amazonía Peruana sobre el manejo de la fluidoterapia en diarreas agudas en
pacientes menores de 5 años de Iquitos 2018. La muestra fue de tipo no
probabilística intencional y estuvo conformada por 78 estudiantes de la Facultad
de Medicina del sexto y séptimo nivel. Resultados: De la población de estudio el
53,8% fueron del sexo masculino y el 46,2% fueron del sexo femenino. En
relación al nivel de estudios, el 56,4% fueron de sexto nivel y el 43,6% fueron de
séptimo nivel. En relación al nivel de conocimiento general sobre el manejo de la
fluidoterapia en diarreas agudas, el 2,6% de los estudiantes tuvo un buen nivel
de conocimientos, el 42,3% regular y el 55,1% tuvo un nivel de conocimientos
deficiente. La puntuación promedio del conocimiento general en base a 16
puntos fue de 8,91 puntos, siendo la puntuación mínima de 4 puntos y la
puntación máxima de 14 puntos. En relación a las preguntas relacionadas sobre
el nivel de conocimiento en fluidoterapia la media de las preguntas contestadas
correctamente fue de 51.4%. En lo que respecta al nivel de conocimiento en
deshidratación la media de las preguntas contestadas correctamente fue de
68.6%. Conclusión: Se concluye que el nivel de conocimientos predominante fue
deficiente en ambos niveles de estudio, por lo que se necesita mejorar el tema
en los cursos en que se imparten, de manera que los estudiantes logren
adecuadas competencias.
