Conocimiento sobre infecciones respiratorias agudas y prácticas preventivas en madres de menores de 5 años en un establecimiento de Salud Iquitos 2023

Abstract

The objective of this research study was to determine the relationship between knowledge about acute respiratory infections and preventive practices in mothers of children under five years of age treated in a health facility Iquitos, 2023; It was a descriptive, correlational study, non-experimental design study that worked with a sample of mothers of 91 children under five years of age, the technique for collecting data was the survey and the instrument was a questionnaire. The results were: the knowledge of the mothers of children under five years old was; 94.5% high, 5.5% medium and low 0.0%; Preventive practices were adequate in 87.9% and inadequate in 12.1%. When relating the variables, it was found that there is a significant statistical relationship between knowledge and preventive practices (p=0,001); Concluding: that there is a relationship between knowledge and preventive practices on acute respiratory infections, in mothers of children under five years of age cared for in a Health establishment Iquitos 2023.

El presente estudio de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento sobre infecciones respiratorias agudas y las prácticas preventivas que realizan las madres de niños menores de cinco años atendidos en un establecimiento de salud quitos, 2023; fue un estudio de tipo cuantitativo descriptivo, correlacional, diseño no experimental, que trabajó con una muestra de madres de 91 niños menores de cinco años, la técnica para recolectar los datos fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue un cuestionario. Los resultados fueron: el conocimiento de las madres de los menores de cinco años fue; 94,5% alto, 5,5% medio y bajo 0,0%; las prácticas preventivas fueron adecuadas en el 87,9% e inadecuadas en el 12,1%. Al relacionar las variables se encontró que existe relación estadística significativa entre el conocimiento y las practicas preventivas (p=0,001); Concluyendo: que hay relación entre el conocimiento y las practicas preventivas sobre infecciones respiratorias agudas, en madres de los menores de cinco años atendidos en un establecimiento de Salud Iquitos 2023.
