dc.description.abstract | The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the history of COVID-19 and cardiac complications in patients treated at the Loreto Regional Hospital between 2021 and 2023. The study had a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and retrospective design. The sample was made up of the medical records of 143 patients with a history of COVID-19. The technique used was documentary analysis and the instrument was the data sheet. Results were: history of Covid-19 with mild degree 46.2%, Covid-19 with moderate degree 49% and Covid-19 with severe degree 4.9%. Cardiac complications in patients with Covid-19 were arrhythmias 16.8%, heart failure 46%, thromboembolic disease 7.7%, myocarditis 15.4% and myocardial infarction -14%. According to age group, the highest percentage was 60 years or older 49.7%, with males predominating with 52.4%. According to place of origin, a higher percentage of patients from Iquitos was obtained 46.9%. Concluding that there is statistical significance between a history of COVID-19 and cardiac complications, with a higher percentage of heart failure associated with moderate Covid-19 infection in patients at the Loreto Regional Hospital 2021 2023. dc.description.abstract | La investigación tuvo como, objetivo determinar la relación entre el antecedente de COVID-19 y las complicaciones cardiacas en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Regional de Loreto entre el 2021 al 2023, el estudio fue de enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental, transversal y retrospectivo la muestra lo conformaron las historias clínicas de 143 pacientes con antecedentes de COVID-19, La técnica empleada fue el análisis documental y el instrumento la ficha de datos. Resultados fueron: antecedentes de Covid-19 con grado leve 46.2%, Covid-19 con grado moderado 49% y Covid-19 con grado grave 4,9%. Las complicaciones cardiacas en pacientes con Covid-19 fue Arritmias 16.8% Insuficiencia cardiacas 46%, enfermedad tromboembólica 7,7%, miocarditis 15,4% e infarto del miocardio -14%. según grupo etario el mayor porcentaje se presentó 60 años a más 49.7%, predominando el sexo masculino con 52.4% según lugar de procedencia se obtuvo un mayor porcentaje de pacientes procedentes de Iquitos 46.9%. Concluyendo que existe significancia estadística entre antecedente de COVID-19 y las complicaciones cardiacas encontrándose mayor porcentaje la Insuficiencia cardiaca que están asociados a infección moderada por Covid-19 en pacientes del Hospital Regional de Loreto 2021 2023.
