Relación entre la remuneración mínima vital con la canasta básica familiar en la región Loreto periodo 2017 2023

Abstract

The present research, titled “Relationship between the Minimum Living Wage the Basic Family Basket in the Loreto Region, 2017 – 2023”, it focuses on analyzing the interaction between two key economic well-being indicators in one of the most representative regions of the Peruvian Amazon. A quantitative approach was used, with a non-experimental and longitudinal design, allowing for the evaluation of hoy the evolution of the Minimum Living Wage (MLW) has influenced the cost of the Basic Family Basket over seven years. The análisis focused on monthly data for both the MLW and the Basic Family in Loreto, from 2017 – 2023. During this period, the MLW increased from S/. 850 in 2017 to S/. 1025 in 2023, representing a 20.59% rise. However, it was found that this increase has not been sufficient to cover the constant prise in the cost of the Basic Family Basket, which rose from S/. 1352 in 2017 to S/. 1784 in 2023 for an average family of four. This gap between income and the cost of living reflects a persistent issue of limited purchasing power, particularly in a region blike Loreto, where socioeconomic conditions and labor informality worsen the situation. The study's results show a significant correlation between the MLW and the cost of the Basic Family Basket, with a correlation coefficient of 0.78, indicating that increases in the minimum wage have a considerable impact on the variation of essential goods' prices.

La presente investigación, titulada “Relación entre la Remuneración Mínima Vital con la Canasta Básica Familiar en la región Loreto, periodo 2017 – 2023”, se enfoca en analizar la interacción entre dos indicadores clave de bienestar económico en una de las regiones más representativas de la Amazonía peruana. Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental y longitudinal, que permitió evaluar cómo la evolución de la Remuneración Mínima Vital (RMV) ha influido en el costo de la Canasta Básica Familiar a lo largo de siete años. El análisis se centró en datos mensuales tanto de la RMV como de la CBF en Loreto, desde el año 2017 hasta el 2023. Durante este periodo, la RMV pasó de S/. 850 en 2017ª S/. 1025 en 2023, lo que representa un aumento del 20.59%. sin embargo, se evidenció que este incremento no ha sido suficiente para cubrir el constante aumento en el costo de la Canasta Básica Familiar, que se incrementó de S/. 1352 en 2017 a S/. 1784 en 2023 para una familia promedio de cuatro personas. Este desfase entre ingresos y el costo de vida refleja un problema persistente de capacidad adquisitiva limitada, particularmente en una región como Loreto donde las condiciones socioeconómicas y la informalidad laboral agravan la situación. Los resultados del estudio muestran una correlación significativa entre la RMV y el costo de la Canasta Básica Familiar, con un coeficiente de correlación de 0.78, lo que indica que los incrementos en el salario mínimo tienen un impacto importante en la variación de los precios de los bienes esenciales.
