Organización comunitaria en el aprovechamiento de recursos forestales de la cuenca alta del río Momón, Loreto-Perú

Abstract

La información vertida en el presente trabajo corresponde a 8 comunidades de la Cuenca Alta del rio Momón en el Departamento de Loreto, es el resultado de la aplicación metódica de varias herramientas participativas de investigación. Mediante la entrevista y a veces la conversación informal se supo que las especies comerciales forestales eran más abundantes en tiempos anteriores, así como la fauna silvestre comestible se cazaba con mayor facilidad. La actividad de extracción de madera así como la extracción de maderajes para casas es la que mayor ingreso económico les produce, pero que esta actividad es completamente informal. Generalmente se agrupan para realizarla en la que la producción se reparte igualitariamente. El cultivo asociado más utilizado es el de plátano, yuca y guineo. La pesca suple deficientemente la necesidad alimenticia de proteínas porque el rio es de poco caudal y los peces son muy escasos y pequeños, no descartan la pesca con especies tóxicas. Los asentamientos que constituyen la población de las comunidades son jóvenes, se destaca la existencia en número considerable de niños y jovencitos, estos últimos constituyen la fuerza laboral. La mayoría de las poblaciones de las comunidades se formaron por inmigración de sus pobladores. La unión entre parejas es muy estable y dura toda la vida.
