Actitudes hacia la conservación ambiental en estudiantes del I.S.T. “Pedro A. Del Aguila Hidalgo” – carrera de agropecuaria – Iquitos – 2018

Abstract

Esta investigación se desarrolló en la selva baja del Perú, Región de Loreto, Provincia de Maynas, Distrito de Iquitos, en el Instituto Superior Tecnológico “Pedro A. del Águila Hidalgo”, cuyo objetivo fue describir las actitudes hacia la conservación ambiental en los estudiantes de la carrera de Agropecuaria en el año 2018. El estudio fue una investigación cuantitativa, no experimental, transversal, descriptiva y relacional. Para la conformación de la muestra de tamaño treinta y dos (32) se utilizó el método censal en estudiantes del 1er, 2do y 3er año. El instrumento de medición fue la encuesta con escala tipo Likert con 10 afirmaciones entre cognoscitivas, reactivas y afectivas y en situaciones negativas y positivas, el cual fue validado por expertos. De acuerdo a los análisis estadístico univariados se encontró en los indicadores actitud general, cognoscitiva, reactiva y afectiva la predominancia de manera significativa los índices Favorables y Muy favorables, en comparación con las Desfavorables y Muy desfavorables. Para la prueba de hipótesis de homogeneidad de proporciones en actitudes general, cognoscitivas, reactivas y afectivas entre sexo y entre grupo etarios se utilizó el programa estadístico Chi Cuadrado a un nivel de probabilidad del 0.05, no encontrándose diferencias estadísticas en las proporciones de actitudes hacia la conservación ambiental en todos los casos entre sexos y entre grupos etarios de los estudiantes de dicha institución. De los resultados obtenidos se recomienda mantener o fortalecer las actitudes favorables y muy favorables hacia la conservación ambiental en los estudiantes de la carrera de agropecuaria de dicha institución de educación superior, capacitando y asistiendo permanentemente así como al personal docente con los medios e instrumentos didácticos necesarios para que puedan desarrollar su importante rol como formadores de promotores con conciencia y responsabilidad ambiental, por lo que se hace necesario desarrollar investigaciones a fin de conocer los niveles de conocimiento y actitudes hacia la conservación ambiental en el propio personal docente de dicha institución educativa.

This research was developed in the lowland jungle of Perú, Loreto Región, Maynas Province, Iquitos District, at the “Pedro A. del Águila Hidalgo” Higher technological Institute, whose objective was describe the attitudes toward environmental conservation in the students of the agricultural career in the year 2018. The study was a quantitative research, not experimental, transversal, descriptive and relational. For the conformation of the thirty-two size sample (32) the census method was used in students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years. The measuring instrument was the survey with Likert scale with 10 affirmations between cognitive, reactive and affective and in negative and positive situations, which was validated by experts. According to the univariate statistical analysis, the general, cognitive, reactive and affective attitude indicators were found to have a significant predominance in the Favorable and Very favorable indices, in comparison with the unfavorable and very unfavorable ones. For the hypothesis test of homogeneity of proportions in general, cognitive, reactive and affective attitudes between sex and between age groups, the Chi Square statistical program was used at a probability level of 0.05, and no statistical differences were found in the proportions of attitudes toward environmental conservation in all cases between the sexes and between age groups of the students of the aforementioned institution. From the results obtained it is recommended to maintain or strengthen the favorable and very favorable attitudes towards environmental conservation in the students of the agricultural career of said institution of higher education, training and assisting permanently as well as the teaching staff with the necessary teaching aids and instruments so they can develop their important role as trainers of promoters with environmental awareness and responsibility, so it is necessary to develop research in order to know the levels of knowledge and attitudes towards environmental conservation in the teaching staff of said educational institution.
