Percepciones sobre educación ambiental de estudiantes de primer semestre de ingenierías de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana. 2018

Abstract

La investigación se realizó en los locales de las diferentes facultades de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana, donde se ubican las facultades de Ingeniería. Los locales de estudio se localizan en la provincia de Maynas, distrito de Iquitos y San Juan, región Loreto. El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar la percepción sobre la Educación Ambiental que tienen los estudiantes de primer semestre de ingeniería, en la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana, con el fin de proponer o plantear líneas de acción en educación ambiental. La metodología de estudio fue cualitativa (con un énfasis analítico y descriptivo), en la medida que los datos, casos o registros puedan ser reflexionados y se constituyan en fuente valiosa de reflexión y comprensión social. El diseño fue no experimental, porque se estudió una situación dada sin introducir ningún elemento que varíe el comportamiento de las variables en estudio. La población estuvo comprendida por los estudiantes del primer nivel, primer semestre de 05 facultades que consignan carreras de Ingeniería (Agronomía, Forestales, Química, Industrias Alimentarias, Sistemas), matriculados en el semestre I-2018; haciendo un total de 510 estudiantes, y una muestra representativa de 91 estudiantes. El estudio realizado nos muestra que, en los jóvenes de las facultades de Ingeniería de la Universidad nacional de la Amazonía peruana tienen una alta percepción sobre la educación ambiental que se imparte en este centro de estudios. Este estudio permitió identificar en los jóvenes sus percepciones positivas y negativas frente a la experiencia educativa en el campo de lo ambiental. También reconoce comprobar por parte de los estudiantes una auto-reflexión sobre sus compromisos y retos como jóvenes y profesionales con el medio ambiente.

The research was carried out at the premises of the different faculties of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, where the Faculties of Engineering. The premises of study are located in the Maynas province, district of Iquitos and San Juan, Loreto region. The objective of the research was to analyze the perception of environmental education that have the first semester students of engineering, at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, in order to propose or raise lines of action in environmental education The study methodology was qualitative (with an emphasis on analytical and descriptive), to the extent that the data, cases or records can be reflected and constitute a valuable source of reflection and social understanding. The design was non-experimental, because they study a given situation without introducing any element that varies the behavior of the variables under study. The population was understood by students in the first level, first half of 05 faculties that entered careers in engineering (agronomy, forestry, Chemical, Food Industries, Systems), enrolled in semester I-2018; making a total of 510 students, and a representative sample of 91 students. The study shows that, in the youth of the Faculties of Engineering of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon have a high perception of environmental education that is taught in this study center. This study allowed to identify its positive and negative perceptions in the face of the educational experience in the field of environmental. It also recognizes check by students with a self-reflection on their commitments and challenges as young people and professionals with the environment.
