Pacientes atendidos en pandemia COVID-19 en el Hospital Regional de Loreto "Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias" Hospital COVID-19 abril a junio 2020, rotaciones: 1° emergencia observación-módulo 2, 2°COVID (4to piso) cirugía, 3° medicina "B"(2do piso)

Abstract

A finales del 2019, el 31 de diciembre para ser exactos, se reportó en la ciudad de Wuhan - China el brote de una de neumonía atípica letal de diferentes grados de severidad; siendo identificado como agente causal el Coronavirus 2 del Síndrome Respiratorio Agudo grave o SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), caracterizado por ser altamente infeccioso y virulento. En una situación sin precedentes a tan solo 101 días de su reporte inicial (11 de marzo 2020); la Organización Mundial de la Salud OMS, la calificó como una pandemia mundial COVID-19, la que en estos momentos los casos confirmados a nivel mundial superaban los 118 000, esparcidos en 114 países y con 4,291 fallecidos (1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8). El 06 de marzo en Perú se reporta el 1er caso y el 17 del mismo mes en nuestra ciudad de Iquitos; tratándose de un varón de 52 años de edad, el cual laboraba en el sector turismo y que tuvo contacto con una variedad de personas asíntomaticas provenientes del extranjero (9,10,11) Iniciado el estado de emergencia a nivel nacional y con las medidas de bioseguridad puestas en marcha en la cuidad de Iquitos; el 19 de abril antes de un mes de registrado el primer caso COVID 19, se hizo un llamado por parte la DIRESA a todo personal de salud voluntario, capaz de prestar sus servivios y apoyar en el Hospital regional de Loreto HRL-COVID ante el eminente colapso, con un promedio de 40-60 ingresos diarios, 200-400 pacientes hospitalizados y reportándose alrededor de 08-12 muertes por día. Por tal circunstancia que pasaba la región, en mi condición de bachiller de medicina; sintiéndome con la capacidad de demostrar lo aprendido en la Facultad de Medicina Humana de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana FMH-UNAP, decido acudir al llamado desesperado de las autoridades de salud de la region y por tal razón me motivan a realizar la presentación de este informe de Trabajo de Suficiencia Profesional

On March 6 in Peru the 1st case is reported and on the 17th of the same month in our city of Iquitos; in the case of a 52-year-old man, who worked in the tourism sector and who had contact with a variety of asymptomatic people from abroad (9,10,11) Initiated the state of emergency at the national level and with the biosecurity measures put in place in the city of Iquitos; On April 19, before a month after the first COVID 19 case was registered, DIRESA made a call to all volunteer health personnel, capable of providing their services and supporting the Regional Hospital of Loreto HRL-COVID before the eminent collapse, with an average of 40-60 daily admissions, 200-400 hospitalized patients and reporting around 08-12 deaths per day. Due to such a circumstance that the region was passing, in my condition as a medical graduate; Feeling with the ability to demonstrate what I have learned at the Faculty of Human Medicine of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon FMH-UNAP, I decide to respond to the desperate call of the health authorities of the region and for this reason they motivate me to make the presentation of this Professional Sufficiency Work report.
