Efecto bactericida del floculante desinfectante water – maker en la calidad bacteriológica del agua del río Itaya en la comunidad “San Andrés” distrito de Belén. Iquitos-Perú

Abstract

El presente estudio se realizó con la finalidad de evaluar el efecto bactericida del floculante desinfectante Water – Maker, para determinar la calidad bacteriológica del agua del río Itaya en la comunidad “San Andrés”, distrito de Belén de la ciudad de Iquitos, mediante la técnica de los tubos múltiples de fermentación (NMP). Demostrando en los resultados la efectividad del 100% del floculante desinfectante Water Maker, sobre los indicadores de la calidad bacteriológica del agua; asimismo, reportamos que sin el uso del floculante desinfectante Water Maker, se obtuvieron valores máximos de coliformes totales de 15000 NMP/100 ml en relación a los coliformes termotolerantes que tuvo un valor de 2100 NMP/100 ml. Concluyendo que la acción del floculante desinfectante Water- Maker tuvo un efecto bactericida para las bacterias entéricas con una diferencia significativa (P= mayor a 0,001).

The present study was carried out with the purpose of evaluating the bactericidal effect of the Water - Maker disinfectant flocculant, to determine the bacteriological quality of the water of the Itaya river in the “San Andrés” community, Belén district of the city of Iquitos, using the technique of the multiple fermentation tubes (NMP). Demonstrating in the results the effectiveness of 100% of the disinfectant flocculant Water Maker, on the indicators of the bacteriological quality of the water; Likewise, we report that without the use of the Water Maker disinfectant flocculant, maximum total coliform values of 15,000 NMP / 100 ml were obtained in relation to the thermotolerant coliforms that had a value of 2100 NMP / 100 ml. Concluding that the action of the Water-Maker disinfectant flocculant had a bactericidal effect for enteric bacteria with a significant difference (P = greater than 0.001).
