Autoestima y logro de aprendizaje en el área de comunicación en estudiantes del IV ciclo de primaria de la I.E. 61014 Horacio Zevallos, Iquitos 2023

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the self-steem level and the learning achievement level of the Communication area in the fourth cycle students of elementary school of the IE 61014Horacio Zevallos Gámez, en Iquitos city, 2023. Materials and methods: The type of research was descriptive - correlational, with a non-experimental cross-sectional research design. The study population was made up of 123 students and the sample unit was the same. To collect data on the self esteem variable, the questionnaire, which consists of 20 items and divided into three dimensions was used and for the learning achievement level of the Communication area variable, the evaluation record were used. The instruments were previously validated by expert judgment. To determine the relationship it used the non-parametric statistical test Tau-b which applies to ordinal categorical variables. Results: 70.7% presented a high level of general self-esteem and 13.8 % achieved a level A in the learning area of communication. The result Tau-b = 0.061 with a significance p = 0.497 > 0,05%. Therefore, the null hypothesis of the investigation is accepted and the alternative hypothesis is rejected. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the self-steem level and the learning achievement level of the Communication area in the fourth cycle students of elementary school of the IE61014Horacio Zevallos Gámez, en Iquitos city, 2023.

El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la relación entre el nivel de autoestima y el logro de aprendizaje en el área de comunicación en estudiantes del IV ciclo de primaria de la IE 61014 Horacio Zevallos de Iquitos en el año 2023. Materiales y métodos: El tipo de investigación fue descriptiva - correlacional, diseño de investigación no experimental transversal. La población estuvo constituida por 123 estudiantes y la unidad muestral fue la misma aplicándose el método censal. Para la recogida de datos sobre la variable autoestima, se utilizó el cuestionario que consta de 20 ítems y dividido en tres dimensiones y para la variable nivel logro de aprendizaje en el área de Comunicación, se empleó el registro de notas del docente. Los instrumentos fueron validados por juicio de expertos anticipadamente. Para determinar la relación, se empleó la prueba estadística no paramétrica Tau-b de Kendall, que se aplica a variables ordinales. Resultados: el 70.7% presentaron un nivel alto de autoestima general y 13.8% alcanzaron el nivel de logro A en el aprendizaje del área de comunicación. El resultado Tau-b de Kendall = 0.061 con una significación p= 0.497 > 0.05. Por consiguiente, se acepta la hipótesis nula de la investigación y se rechaza la hipótesis alterna. Conclusión: Se concluye que no existe relación significativa entre el nivel de autoestima y el nivel de logro de aprendizaje en el área de comunicación en estudiantes del IV ciclo de primaria de la IE 61014 Horacio Zevallos de Iquitos en el año 2023.
