Nivel de conocimientos sobre sistemas adhesivos en estudiantes de quinto y sexto nivel de la Facultad de Odontología, Iquitos 2024

Abstract

Objective: The objective of the development of this present research was to establish the difference in the level of knowledge about adhesive systems in fifth and sixth level students of the Faculty of Dentistry of Iquitos in the year 2024. Method: A quantitative research was developed with a non-experimental design of correlational characteristics with an ordinal measurement scale in which the study population was made up of 94 students, from V and VI levels. Of this population, only 87 students participated, 43 from level V and 44 from level VI. The measurement instrument used was a questionnaire with 12 related questions about adhesive systems. Results: The results obtained from the research were that 24.1% of the male sex had a regular level of knowledge; followed by low with 14.9% and high 3.4%. The female sex had 36.8% with a regular level of knowledge; followed by low with 16.1% and high 4.6%. Also in the research, the female sex predominated with 57.5% over the male sex with 42.5%. Just as the average age that participated was 25 to 54 years in the research, in which the average grade obtained was 4.48 out of 12 points. Conclusions: It was concluded that 60.9% of the sample presented a regular level of knowledge; 31% a low level and 8% a high level. Likewise, there are no significant differences in the level of knowledge between students of the V and VI level of studies (p=0.346).

Objetivo: El objetivo del desarrollo de esta presente investigación fue establecer la diferencia en el nivel de conocimientos sobre sistemas adhesivos en estudiantes de quinto y sexto nivel de la facultad de odontología de Iquitos en el año 2024. Método: Se desarrollo una investigación de tipo cuantitativa con un diseño no experimental, transversal de característica correlacional con una escala de medición ordinal en la cual la población de estudio estuvo conformada por 94 estudiantes, de V y VI nivel. De esta población participaron solo 87 estudiantes, siendo 43 de V nivel y 44 de VI nivel, el instrumento de medición la cual se empleo fue un cuestionario de 12 preguntas relacionadas sobre sistemas adhesivos. Resultados: Los resultados obtenidos de la investigación fue que el sexo masculino tuvo el 24,1% con nivel de conocimientos regular; seguido de bajo con el 14,9% y el 3,4% alto. El sexo femenino tuvo el 36,8% con nivel de conocimientos regular; seguido de bajo con el 16,1% y el 4,6% alto. También en la investigación el sexo femenino fue el que predominó con un 57,5% sobre el sexo masculino con 42,5%. Así como la edad media que participo fue de 25 a 54 años en la investigación, en la cual la nota promedio que se obtuvo fue de 4,48 de 12 puntos Conclusiones: Se llego a la conclusión que el 60,9% de la muestra presentó un nivel de conocimientos regular; el 31% un nivel bajo y el 8% alto. Asimismo, no existen diferencias significativas en el nivel de conocimientos entre los alumnos del V y VI nivel de estudios (p=0,346).
