Evolución del gasto en infraestructura y su relación con la evolución del gasto total del Gobierno Regional de Loreto periodo 2019 – 2023

Abstract

This observational study with a quantitative approach and non-experimental correlational design investigates the relationship between infrastructure spending and the total expenditure of the regional government of Loreto during the period 2019-2023. The issue lies in the lack of specific investment in infrastructure acquisition, which limits regional expenditure growth and effectiveness, a crucial aspect for the sustainable development of the region. The general objective is to determine the relationship between the evolution of infrastructure spending and the total expenditure of the regional government. The results reveal a significant and positive relationship (r = 0.942, p = 0.017), suggesting that as infrastructure spending increases, so does the total regional expenditure, highlighting an interdependence in resource allocation and budget growth. A positive trend was identified in both types of spending throughout the study period, indicating a strategic approach in resource allocation for infrastructure development. However, there was no significant investment in infrastructure acquisition, implying a lack of correlation between this variable and total expenditure, highlighting a gap in the investment strategy. These findings underscore the importance of increasing investment in infrastructure acquisitions and improving project management to promote balanced and sustainable regional development. Optimizing the use of financial resources and reducing infrastructure gaps in Loreto are essential to improving the population's quality of life and promoting more inclusive and equitable economic growth.

Este estudio, de tipo observacional y enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental de nivel correlacional, investiga la relación entre el gasto en infraestructura y el gasto total del gobierno regional de Loreto durante el periodo 2019-2023. La problemática radica en la falta de inversión específica en la adquisición de infraestructura, lo que limita el crecimiento y la eficacia del gasto regional, un aspecto crucial para el desarrollo sostenible de la región. El objetivo general es determinar la relación entre la evolución del gasto en infraestructura y el gasto total del gobierno regional. Los resultados revelan una relación significativa y positiva (r = 0.942, p = 0.017), sugiriendo que a medida que aumenta el gasto en infraestructura, también lo hace el gasto total regional, destacando una interdependencia en la asignación de recursos y el crecimiento presupuestal. Se identificó una tendencia positiva en ambos tipos de gasto a lo largo del periodo estudiado, lo que indica un enfoque estratégico en la asignación de recursos para el desarrollo de infraestructura. Sin embargo, no se observó una inversión significativa en la adquisición de infraestructura, lo que implica una falta de correlación entre esta variable y el gasto total, resaltando una brecha en la estrategia de inversión. Estos hallazgos subrayan la importancia de aumentar la inversión en adquisiciones de infraestructura y mejorar la gestión de proyectos, con el fin de fomentar un desarrollo regional equilibrado y sostenible. Optimizar el uso de los recursos financieros y reducir las brechas en infraestructura en Loreto son esenciales para mejorar la calidad de vida de la población y promover un crecimiento económico más inclusivo y equitativo.
