Nivel de conocimiento sobre higiene oral de las madres e indice de higiene oral de niños entre 6 y 7 años de la I.E.P.M. 61015 La Imaculada- Iquitos, 2013

Abstract

El presente estudio, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación del Nivel de Conocimiento Sobre Higiene Oral de las Madres y el Índice de Higiene Oral de Niños entre 6 y 7 Años de la I.E.P.M 61015 La Inmaculada!quitos, 2013. El tipo de investigación fue cuantitativa, el diseño fue no experimental, transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 120 alumnos. Se utilizó un instrumento tipo cuestionario dirigido a las madres validado por juicio de expertos y el Índice de Higiene Oral Simplificado IHO-S de Green y Vermillion. Entre los hallazgos más importantes se encontró lo siguiente: que de un total de 120 (100%) de madres, 17 .. 5% (21) tiene un nivel de conocimiento sobre higiene oral bueno, 49.2% (59) regular y el 33.3% (40) presentó un nivel malo. Además un total de 120 (100%) niños, 67.5% (81) presentó un índice de higiene oral buena esto es de O - 1.2 y el 32.5% (39) presentó una escala regular esto es de 1.3 - 3.0, en la escala de Green y Vermillion. Demostrando así que el nivel de conocimiento sobre higiene oral de las madres está relacionado significativamente con el índice de la Higiene Oral de niños entre 6 y 7 años de la I.E.P.M 61015 "La Inmaculada" en la ciudad de lquitos- 2013. Siendo el valor de p de 0.022 y el nivel de significancia a=0.05.

The present study aimed to determine the relationship ,of the Level of Knowledge about Oral Health of Mothers and Oral Hygiene lndex Children between 6 and 7 years of I.E.P.M 61015 The lmmaculate - lquitos, 2013.
