Abstract
The present study had as objective to determine the association that exists between the non modifiable and modifiable risk factors and the high blood pressure in nurses of EsSalud, lquitos 2011. The used method was quantitative, non experimental design, of cross-sectional and corelational descriptive type. The sample was 89 nurses, for it was used the formula of the proportional afijation. The used instruments: Questionnaire of non modifiable and modifiable risk factors (validity 99,4% and reliability 0.71 Crombach's Alpha), the Perceived Stress Questionnaire (validity 73% and reliability 0.80 Crombach's Alpha), Card of I.M.C. and Blood Pressure. The information was analyzed with statistical package SPSS 18.0 in Spanish for Windows 7 and the hypothesis was contrasted by the statistical test inferential non parametric chi square (X2c), a=0.05. The results with significant association with the high blood pressure were: age (p=0.001), feeding (p=0.007), physical activity (p=0.034), body mass index (p=0.01 O) and stress (p=0.011). The study evidence that a more non modifiable and modifiable risk factors, the greater the willingness of high blood pressure, so it is recommended to practice healthy lifestyles that preserve the health of nurses.
