Sistema informático de control de asistencia y avance de clases de los docentes para la facultad de ingeniería de sistemas e informática (FISI) - UNAP

Abstract

La Facultad de Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática (FISI), ubicada en la Ciudad de Iquitos, Departamento de Loreto, Provincia de Maynas, es parte componente de la UNAP, creada para la formación profesional humanista e integral, con calidad y excelencia en el campo de la Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática, orientada hacia un liderazgo de equipos multidisciplinarios que sean capaces de dar soluciones adecuadas a problemas relacionados con el desarrollo sostenible de la Región Amazónica; que como objetivo principal tiene la labor de formar Profesionales con capacidad y excelencia, generadores de ciencia y tecnología, con valores éticos y visión empresarial, capaces de promover o propiciar el desarrollo sustentable de la Amazonía. Entre otras funciones importantes entre las que mencionaremos que son de interés para el desarrollo del presente Trabajo Práctico, es la de supervisar el estricto cumplimiento de la labor lectiva y de asistencia de los docentes; coordinar y supervisar la revisión semestral del contenido de los sílabos para la actualización correspondiente; coordinar, supervisar y controlar la entrega oportuna de los sílabos por parte de los docentes, en concordancia a los establecidos en el Reglamento Académico de la UNAP; coordinar y supervisar el desarrollo de los temas programados en el sílabo y el cumplimiento del dictado de clases teóricas y prácticas en el semestre; entre otras funciones las cuales son encargadas por distintos departamentos que pertenecen a la FISI; estos procesos se realizan manualmente almacenando registros y fichas de información de asistencia y desempefio de los docentes durante el semestre, guardando esta información en andamios y procesándolas en hojas de Excel, resultando tedioso, complicado y problemático al momento de consultar y requerir información oportuna en tiempo real y llevar una mejor control general sobre los docentes y su desempefio. Ante esta problemática se implantó un sistema informático que permite gestionar el control de asistencia de los Docentes y el avance de las clases con respecto a los temas propuestos en el sílabo, de igual manera permite al docente registrar los temas desarrollados en el sistema; toda información de estos procesos se registran en una base de datos, lo que permitirá su rápida ubicación mediante consultas y reportes; así mismo facilita el monitoreo sobre los docentes durante todo el semestre académico, que servirá de mucha ayuda para el Departamento Académico, la Escuela de Formación Profesional y el Consejo de Coordinación de la Facultad. Se empleó Rational Unifred Process (RUP), como metodología de desarrollo, tomando como lenguaje de modelado la notación Unified Modeling Language (UML) en base al software de modelado Rational Rose. Para la implantación del sistema se empleó el lenguaje de programación Visual Basic del VISual Studio.Net 2008 como plataforma de desarrollo y el gestor de base de datos SQL Server 2008. Miguel Ángel Hernández Román 1 UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE LA AMAZONIA PERUANA Facultad de Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática (FISI) Con el sistema informático implantado, se consiguió reducir drásticamente el tiempo de obtención de los reportes y consulta de información de forma segura, confiable y rápida, así como de realizarse un verdadero control sobre la asistencia y el desempeño de los docentes en cuanto al avance de temas de las clases según el sílabo entregado por el mismo por locación y aulas registradas. Se logró obtener un puntaje de 94.25 de promedio total, al aplicar los indicadores utilizados en el ISO/lEC 9126, indicadores que corresponden a la Funcionalidad, Con:fiabilidad, Mantenibilidad y Portabilidad del software; tal resultado de puntaje, genera una Valoración General de la Calidad del Software como Excelente en el cumplimiento y solución a la problemática presentada. El sistema informático posee una aceptación de satisfacción de uso SUS (Escala de Usabilidad del Sistema) de 90 y de efectividad de 90.5 puntos en una escala de O a 100 según encuesta a los usuarios durante la utilización del sistema. Se puede apreciar una reducción considerable en generar el reporte "control de asistencia de los docentes", promedio de 25.4 minutos con el sistema manual y promedio de 0.83 minutos con el sistema informático, que viene a ser una disminución de 24 minutos aproximadamente; que corresponde al 96%. De igual manera, se consiguió una reducción considerable en generar el reporte "avance de clases de los docentes", con un promedio de 20.6 minutos con el sistema manual y un promedio de 0.63 minutos con el sistema informático, que viene a ser una disminución de 19 minutos aproximadamente; que corresponde al 96%.

The Faculty of Systems engineering and Computer science (FISI), located in Iquitos's City, Loreto's Department, Maynas's Province, ís a part component of the UNAP, created for the humanist and integral vocational training, with quality and excellence in the field of the Systems engineering and Computer science, orientated towards a leadership of multidisciplinary equípments that are capable of giving solutions adapted to problems related with the sustainable development of the Amazonian Region; that as principal aim has the labor of Professionals form with capacity and excellence, generators of science and technology, with ethical values and managerial, capable vision of promoting or propitiating the sustainable development of the Amazonia. Between other important functions between which we will mention that they are of interest for the development of the present Practical Work, it is her of supervising the strict fulfillment of the school labor and of assistance of the teachers; to coordinate and to supervise the half-yearly review of the content of the syllabus for the corresponding update; to coordinate, to supervise and to control the opportune delivery of the syllabus on the part of the teachers, in conformity to the established ones in the Academic Regulation ofthe UNAP; to coordinate and to supervise the development of the topics programmed in the syllabus and the ful:fillment of the dictation of theoretical and practica! classes in the semester; between other functions which are entrusted by di:fferent departments that belong to the FISI; these processes are realized manually storing records and cards of information of assistance and performance of the teachers during the semester, guarding this information in scaffoldings and suing them in leaves of Excel, turning out to be tedious, complicated and problematic to the moment to consult and need opportune real time information and to take a better general control on the teachers and bis performance. Before this problematic there was implanted an IT system that allows to manage the control of assistance of the T eachers and the advance of the classes with regard to the topics proposed in the syllabus, of equal way it allows to the teacher to register the topics developed in the system; all information of these processes there is registered in a database, which will allow bis rapid location by means of consultations and reports; likewise it facilitates the monitoring on the teachers during the whole academic semester, which will serve of great help for the Academic Department, the School ofVocational training and the Advice ofCoordination ofthe Faculty. There was used Rational Unified Process (RUP), as methodology of development, taking the notation as a language of shaped Unified Modeling Language (UML) on the basis of the software of shaped Rational Rose. With the IT well-established system, it was managed to reduce drastically the time of obtaining of the reports and consultation of information of sure, reliable and rapid form, as well as of a real control realize on the assistance and the performance of the teachers as for the advance of topics of the classes according to the syllabus delivered by the same one by lease and registered classrooms. It was achieved to obtain a puntaje of 94.25 of total average, when the indicators used in the ISO/lEC applied 9126, indicators that correspond to the Functionality, Reliability, Mantenibilidad and Portability of the software; such a result of puntaje, it generates a General Valuation of the Quality of the Software as Excellently in the fulfillment and solution to the presented problematics.
