Nivel de conocimientos sobre la salud bucal en enfermeras de CREDE y madres de niños atendidos en el Centro de Salud San Antonio

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en enfermeras de CREDE y en madres de niños atendidos en el Centro de Salud San Antonio. Se empleó un cuestionario de 20 preguntas relacionadas a medidas preventivas en Salud Bucal, principales enfermedades bucales, crecimiento y desarrollo dentario. La población fue conformada por 11 licenciadas en enfermería que laboran en el servicio de CREDE y 337 madres de los niños atendidos en dicho servicio del Centro de salud San Antonio. Se obtuvo una óptima precisión experimental, debido a que el número de la población estudiada, afianza la validez y confiabilidad de los resultados. En lo referente al nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de las enfermeras tuvieron como resultado: bueno en 90,91% y regular en 9,09%. Mientras que el resultado de las madres, fue regular 89.91%, malo 8,61% y bueno 1,48%. En cuanto al nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud bucal, las enfermeras obtuvieron, bueno en un 90.91% y las madres, bueno 80.42% y regular 19.58%. Con respecto al nivel de conocimiento sobre las principales enfermedades bucales, las enfermeras tuvieron, regular 90.91%, bueno 9.09 y las madres, malo 54.01%, regular 41.25% y bueno 4,75% y en lo referente al nivel de conocimiento sobre el desarrollo y crecimiento dental las enfermeras tuvieron, regular 81,82% y bueno 9,09% mientas que las madres, malo 48,96% regular 48,46% y bueno 2,35%. Existe relación estadística inversa entre el nivel de conocimiento de las enfermeras y el nivel de conocimiento de las madres de los niños atendidos en el Centro de salud San Antonio (chi=206, 542; gl=2; p valor=0,000)

The present research aimed to determine the level of knowledge about oral health in CREDE nurses and in mothers of children attended at the San Antonio Health Center. A questionnaire of 20 questions related to preventive measures in Oral Health, main oral diseases, growth and dental development was used. The population was formed by 11 nursing graduates who work in the CREDE service and 337 mothers of the children attended in that service of the San Antonio Health Center. Optimal experimental accuracy was obtained, due to the fact that the number of the studied population strengthens the validity and reliability of the results. Regarding the level of knowledge on oral health of nurses, the results were: good in 90.91% and regular in 9.09%. While the result of mothers, it was regular 89.91%, bad 8.61% and good 1.48%. Regarding the level of knowledge about oral health prevention, nurses obtained, good in 90.91% and mothers, good 80.42% and regular 19.58%.
