Conocimientos y actitudes relacionadas a medidas preventivas de salud bucal en pacientes con la infección del VIH/SIDA en el hospital Iquitos César Garayar García durante los años 2014 – 2015

Abstract

OBJETIVO: El presente estudio, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el Nivel de Conocimientos y actitudes relacionadas a medidas preventivas de salud bucal en pacientes con la infección del VIH/SIDA en el hospital Iquitos Cesar Garayar García durante los años 2014 – 2015. MATERIALES Y METODOS: El tipo de investigación fue cuantitativo; no experimental, transversal, correccional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 129 pacientes pertenecientes al programa TARGA del Hospital Iquitos. El instrumento el cual fue validado mediante un juicio de experto, el mismo que se utilizado para identificar el nivel de conocimiento y nivel de actitud sobre medidas preventiva en salud bucal fue a través de un cuestionario con ítems relacionados al tema. RESULTADOS: Entre los hallazgos más importantes del estudio se encontró lo siguiente: los conocimientos sobre medidas en salud bucal en los 129 (100,0%) que el 51,9% de ellos presentaron nivel de conocimiento adecuado y el 48,1% nivel de conocimiento inadecuado. En lo que corresponde a la actitud sobre las medidas preventivas en salud bucal de los 129 (100,0%), se aprecia que 65,1% de ellos tienen actitud desfavorable y el 34,9% actitud favorable respectivamente. De la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la Actitud respecto a las medidas preventivas en salud bucal examinados en los 129 (100,0%), se determina que, de 45 (34,9%) pacientes con actitud favorable hacia las medidas preventivas, el 27,1% tienen conocimiento adecuado y 7,8% conocimiento inadecuado respectivamente. De 84 (65,1%) pacientes que tienen actitud desfavorable respecto a las medidas preventivas, el 40,3% resultaron tener conocimiento inadecuado y 24,8 conocimiento adecuado correspondiente. Al realizar el análisis con el coeficiente de relación para variables cuyo resultado fue de X2 (Calculado) = 16,929 con un grado de libertad valor que nos indica que existe relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud respecto a las medidas preventivas en salud bucal en los pacientes portadores del VIH/SIDA, atendidos en hospital Iquitos “César Garayar García” durante los años 2014 - 2015.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes related to oral health preventive measures in patients with HIV infection / AIDS in the hospital Iquitos Garayar Cesar Garcia during the years 2014-2015. As relates to the attitude about preventive measures in oral health of 129 (100.0%), it shows that 5.1% of them have an unfavorable attitude and 34.9% respectively positive attitude.
