Abstract
con valores de índice de Shannon de 5,12; 4,75; 5,15; 4,97 en las parcelas 09, 10, 15, 16;
respectivamente.
The structural diversity of tree vegetation in the Arboretum El Huayo of the CIEFOR Puerto Almendra of the UNAP, Loreto, Peru, was evaluated in this study. The three indicators of structural diversity: spatial distribution, species diversity and dimensional differentiation were determined through Cox index, Shannon-Wiener diversity index and index of homogeneity. Four permanent sample plots of 1,22 ha each were used, where all tree individuals with DBH ≥ 5 cm were evaluated. The species, diameter and total height among other dasometric variables were recorded. 4964 tree individuals, contained in 521 species and 53 families were found in 4,88 ha. The plots studied show a tendency to uniform spatial distribution where all individuals maintain more or less the same constant distance each other. Also, the diversity of tree vegetation is very high, with Shannon index values of 5,12; 4,75; 5,15; 4,97 in the plots 09, 10, 15, 16; respectively. The tree vegetation shows high heterogeneity since the index of homogeneity found for each plot is low.
