Abstract
El presente estudio, tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto del role play en el desarrollo de la
expresión oral en Inglés en estudiantes de 2° nivel de la especialidad de Idiomas
Extranjeros, FCEH-UNAP. La población y muestra estuvieron conformadas por un total de
29 y 20 estudiantes respectivamente, a quienes se les aplicó el instrumento ficha de
observación y prueba oral de desempeño. Los datos fueron recogidos a través de la técnica;
observación y prueba pedagógica, el instrumento utilizado fue la ficha de observación y
prueba oral de desempeño. Se determinó que después de la aplicación del programa “Juego
de roles”, hubo un incremento de 40.0% en el nivel de desarrollo de la expresión oral.
Dando como resultado un buen nivel de expresión oral, el cual hizo el total de estudiantes
en el citado nivel, determinando finalmente que existe diferencia significativa a favor de
los puntajes del nivel de desarrollo de la expresión oral en el idioma Inglés después de la
aplicación del programa “Juego de roles” (p < 0.05). Se concluye que la aplicación del
programa “Juego de roles” influye significativamente en el nivel de desarrollo de la
expresión oral en Inglés de los estudiantes de 2° nivel de la especialidad de Idiomas
Extranjeros de la FCEH-UNAP.
The present study aimed to assess the effect of role play in the development of the oral expression capability in English for the 2nd level students of the Foreign Language teacher education program, FCEH-UNAP. The population and sample were made up of a total of 29 and 20 students respectively, who were administered observation sheet and oral test performance. Data were collected through observation and educational testing; the instruments used were the observation sheet and oral test performance. It was determined that after the implementation of the "Role Play program", there was a 40.0% increase in the level of development of students’ oral expression, determining that there is a significant difference in scores for the level of development of oral expression in English language after the application of program "role Play" (p <.05). It is concluded that the application of the "Role Play program" proved the hypothesis that second level teacher education students would significantly improve their speaking skill.
