Evaluación del estado nutricional de niños menores de 5 años del servicio de pediatría. Hospital regional de Loreto - 2013

Abstract

El presente proyecto se desarrolló durante el año 2013, en el Hospital Regional de Loreto, distrito de Punchana cuyo objetivo del Proyecto fue determinar el estado nutricional en niños menores de 5 años hospitalizados en el servicio de Pediatría del Hospital Regional de Loreto - 2013. El tipo de estudio fue el no experimental, observacional descriptivo. La muestra fue de 207 niños hospitalizados, durante los meses de Noviembre de 2013 a Enero de 2014. El análisis de los datos se realizó utilizando el paquete estadístico SPSS versión 20. Para la recolección de datos se empleó una ficha de caracterización, el carné de atención integral de salud de la niña y niño y las tablas de valoración nutricional antropométrica de la niña/niño menor de 5 años. Los resultados más importantes fueron, el 66.7% que corresponde al grupo etario de 1 a 24 meses, quienes fueron evaluados con dos indicadores, con Talla/Edad se encontró que, 45.9% presentaron talla normal y 15.9% talla alta; con el indicador Peso/Talla, el 59.9% se encontraron dentro del rango normal. 33.3% correspondió al grupo etario de 25 a 59 meses, al evaluar con el indicador Talla/Edad, 15.5% tuvieron talla normal y talla baja en ambos casos, con el indicador Peso/Talla, 30.8% presentaron estado nutricional normal. Las enfermedades más frecuentes en estas muestras fueron IRA (48.8%), seguidamente de EDA (16.4%).

This was a non-experimental, descriptive, observational study in 207 hospitalized children during the months of November 2013 to January 2014. This research found that the highest percentage of children who entered the Service of Pediatrics, had a normal nutritional status, this would lead to recovery and hospitalization time in less time.
