dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo se desarrolló en el distrito de Iquitos dentro de la zona Urbana y Periurbana de la Ciudad; cuyo objetivo consistió en realizar un estudio con el fin de identificar el tipo de residuos sólidos generados por el sector comercial (empresas minoristas y supermercados), en el Distrito de Iquitos. De los resultados selestudio tenemos que la caracterización de residuos sólidos generados por el sector comercial en la Provincia de Maynas, nos muestra como se refleja la producción de residuos que generan los establecimientos evaluados en dicha zona. Los residuos que generan en mayor porcentaje en los establecimientos evaluados son los residuos inorgánicos con un 54.55%, de las cuales las más representativas son el cartón y los plásticos, seguido de los residuos orgánicos con un 44.73% que vienen a ser en su mayoría restos de vegetales y frutas. Mientras que los residuos peligrosos con un 0.72%. La recolección de residuos sólidos de las zonas evaluadas, sostienen que un 35.0% no recolectan todos los residuos, seguido de un 22.55% que dejan caer los residuos mientras los recolectan.; Siendo así las molestias o quejas ante la labor del servicio Municipal, por la falta de capacidad de una adecuada recolección de residuos. EL 78.0% considera regular a la labor de la Municipalidad con respecto a la limpieza pública. El nivel de conocimiento del manejo de residuos en las zonas evaluadas hacen que arrojen sus residuos en cualquier lugar y a cualquier hora. Falta de aplicación y ejecución del programa de segregación con el que cuenta la Municipalidad Provincial de Maynas en las zonas evaluadas; ya que muchas de las personas entrevistadas no tienen el conocimiento ni sensibilización en el tema de manejo de Residuos sólidos. En conclusión con los resultados obtenidos del presente trabajo se rechaza la hipótesis planteada, principalmente de las empresas evaluadas. El 100% por ciento de ellas no aplican el manejo de los residuos sólidos, que se encuentra establecido en la Ley General de Residuos Sólidos, Ley N° 27314 con D.S. 057-2004-PCM.es_PE
