Nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de los padres y la higiene oral en los alumnos del centro educativo básico especial del distrito de Iquitos, año 2017

Abstract

El presente estudio, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de los padres y la higiene oral en los alumnos del Centro Educativo Básico Especial del distrito de Iquitos, año 2017. El tipo de Investigación es Cuantitativo, el diseño es No Experimental, tipo descriptivo correlacional transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 62 alumnos y padres de familia. Los instrumentos utilizados para identificar el nivel de conocimiento fue un cuestionario y para la higiene oral se utilizó una ficha de registro del Índice de Higiene Oral. Entre los hallazgos más importantes se encontró lo siguiente: El nivel de conocimiento de sobre salud bucal si está relacionado con la higiene oral en los alumnos del Centro Educativo Básico Especial, Iquitos 2017. Con respecto a la higiene oral, el 30.6% (19) presentaron buena higiene oral, un mayor porcentaje que representa al 61.3% (38) sus higiene oral fue regular, mientras que el 8.1% (5) de los alumnos fueron evaluados con una higiene oral mala. El 29.0% (19) de los alumnos presentaron buena higiene oral cuyos padres de familia obtuvieron nivel de conocimiento alto sobre salud bucal. Asimismo, el 4.8% (3) calificaron con mala higiene oral y nivel de conocimiento bajo de sus respectivos padres de familia.

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about oral health of parents and oral hygiene in the students of the Special Basic Educational Center, Iquitos 2017. The type of research is quantitative, the design is non-experimental, cross-sectional descriptive descriptive type. The sample consisted of 62 students and parents. The instruments used to identify the level of knowledge was a questionnaire and for oral hygiene a record sheet of the oral hygiene index was used. Among the most important findings was the following: The level of knowledge of oral health if it is related to oral hygiene of students of the Special Basic Educational Center, Iquitos 2017. With regard to oral hygiene, 30.6% (19) they presented good oral hygiene, a higher percentage representing 61.3% (38) their oral hygiene was regular, while 8.1% (5) of the students were evaluated with poor oral hygiene 29.0% (19) of the students presented good oral hygiene whose parents obtained a high level of knowledge about oral health. Likewise, 4.8% (3) qualified with poor oral hygiene and low level of knowledge of their respective parents.
