Efecto de un programa preventivo sobre Higiene Oral, Sangrado Gingival y Conocimiento en salud bucal en una Institución Educativa, Loreto – 2018

Abstract

Determinar el efecto de un programa preventivo sobre higiene oral, sangrado gingival y conocimiento en salud bucal en estudiantes de secundaria de una Institución Educativa de Loreto en el año 2018. Estudio cuantitativo, experimental (de tipo cuasi experimental). Se evaluó a 275 alumnos del 1º a 5º de secundaria durante un mes. Se empleó un cuestionario antes, y al mes de la intervención educativa; así mismo se realizó el IHOS antes, y al mes de la intervención educativa; se utilizó proyector multimedia y maquetas. Para el nivel de conocimientos se utilizó la ficha de recolección de datos de nivel de conocimiento para escolares de secundaria, validado por juicio de expertos. Para la higiene oral se utilizó el índice de higiene oral simplificado (IHOS), validado por el uso. Para el sangrado gingival se utilizó el índice de sangrado gingival de Löe y Silness, validado por el uso. El nivel de conocimiento final fue diferente en el grupo experimental y el grupo control (p=0,000), el índice de higiene oral simplificado final es diferente en el grupo experimental y grupo control (p=0.000), el nivel de inflamación gingival Loe y Silness final es diferente en el grupo experimental y grupo control (p=0.000). La intervención educativa fue eficaz aumentando el nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal y el nivel de higiene oral en estudiantes de secundaria de una Institución Educativa de Loreto en el año 2018.

To determine the effect of a preventive program on oral hygiene, gingival bleeding and oral health knowledge in high school students of an Educational Institution of Loreto in 2018. Quantitative, experimental study (of quasi-experimental type). A total of 275 students from 1 to 5 of secondary school were evaluated during one month. The level of final knowledge was different in the experimental group and the control group (p = 0.000), the final simplified oral hygiene index is different in the experimental group and control group (p = 0.000), the level of gingival inflammation Loe and Final silness is different in the experimental group and control group (p = 0.000) The educational intervention was effective increasing the level of knowledge in oral health and the level of oral hygiene in high school students of an Educational Institution of Loreto in the year 2018.
