Abstract

A finales de mes de diciembre del año 2019 y comienzos de enero de 2020 se reportó el brote de una de neumonía atípica letal con diferentes grados de severidad en la ciudad de Wuhan, China; siendo identificado el agente causal como una variante del virus SARS demonizándoselo Coronavirus 2 del Síndrome Respiratorio Agudo grave o SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), caracterizado por ser altamente infeccioso y virulento. La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) después de más de 3 meses del primer reporte oficial inicial calificó la COVID-19 como una pandemia mundial, para entonces los casos confirmados superaban los 118 000 infectados a nivel mundial esparcido en más de 114 países y se registraban alrededor 4,291 fallecidos (1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8,9). El 06 de marzo se reporta en el Perú el 1er caso de coronavirus y para el 17 del mismo mes se reporta el primer caso en nuestra ciudad de Iquitos; tratándose de un hombre de 52 años, trabajador del sector turismo que tuvo “contacto” con un numeroso grupo de personas asíntomaticas que procedían del extranjero (10,11,12) El 19 de abril de 2020 un mes después del primer contacto reportado en la region Loreto y con el estado de emergencia instalado a nivel nacional; se hizo un llamado por parte de la DIRESA a todo personal de salud voluntario, capaz de ayudar en el Hospital regional de Loreto HRL-COVID al ser este el hospital referencial donde acudian los casos y ante el eminente colapso, con un promedio de 50 ingresos diarios, 300 pacientes hospitalizados y reportandose alrededor de 10 muertes por día. Bajo estas circunstancia en mi condición de bachiller de medicina; sintiendome capaz de demostrar mis capacicidades ya aprendidas en el internado médico hospitlario y en la Facultad de Medicina Humana de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana FMH-UNAP, acudo al llamado desesperado de las autoridades de salud de la región y en consecuencia motivan la presentación de este Informe de Trabajo de Suficiencia Profesional.

On March 6, the 1st case of coronavirus was reported in Peru and on the 17th of the same month the first case was reported in our city of Iquitos; in the case of a 52-year-old man, a worker in the tourism sector who had “contact” with a large group of asymptomatic people who came from abroad (10,11,12) On April 19, 2020, one month after the first contact reported in the Loreto region and with the state of emergency installed nationwide; A call was made by DIRESA to all volunteer health personnel, capable of helping in the Regional Hospital of Loreto HRL-COVID as this is the reference hospital where cases come and in the face of the eminent collapse, with an average of 50 admissions daily, 300 hospitalized patients and reporting around 10 deaths per day. Under these circumstances, in my condition as a bachelor of medicine; Feeling capable of demonstrating my skills already learned in the medical hospital internship and in the Faculty of Human Medicine of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon FMH-UNAP, I go to the desperate call of the health authorities of the region and consequently motivate the presentation of this Professional Sufficiency Work Report.
