Abstract
The objective of this study was to explain the level of association between teacher performance and the development of the end-of-career profile competencies at Secondary Education with majors in Mathematics and Informatics teacher training program, National University of the Peruvian Amazon, Iquitos 2019. The population and sample were made up by 31 students enrolled in all 5 levels and 14 lecturers teaching the control courses of general studies, specific studies, and specialty studies. Data gathering tools were valid and reliable checklist, students’ perception questionnaire, and performance tests. Results show that teacher performance is good as their mean score was 16,39. However, students’ performance was poor as their mean score was 9,39 in a 0-20 scale. It is concluded that there is no correlation between variables as r=0.010 and p-value = 0,957 > α = 0,050,957 > α = 0,05, rejecting the working hypothesis.
