Conocimiento y adherencia al tratamiento de anemia en madres con niños de 6 a 23 meses de Bellavista Nanay Iquitos 2022

Abstract

The present study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and adherence to treatment with ferrous sulfate, in mothers with children aged 6 to 23 months with anemia, of the health facility I-4 Bellavista Nanay, Iquitos 2022. The type of quantitative, non-experimental and correlational study. The population consists of 55 mothers. The survey and the instruments were used as a technique: knowledge questionnaire on anemia treatment (Validity 81.43% and reliability 80.5%) and Morisky – Green questionnaire (sensitivity 0.64), specificity (0.79) and efficiency (0.73). The results were: that of 100% (55), 49.1% (27) of mothers presented regular knowledge about the treatment of anemia, 34.5% (19) deficient and 16.4% (9) good. Regarding the level of adherence to treatment with ferrous sulfate, 52.7% (29) are non-adherent, while 47.3% (26) are adherent. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between knowledge and adherence to the treatment of anemia with ferrous sulfate (p = 0.002), in mothers with children from 6 to 23 months of age of the health facility I-4 Bellavista Nanay, Iquitos 2022.

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la adherencia al tratamiento con sulfato ferroso, en madres con niños de 6 a 23 meses con anemia, del establecimiento de salud I-4 Bellavista Nanay, Iquitos 2022. El tipo de estudio cuantitativo, no experimental y correlacional. La población conformada por 55 madres. Se utilizó como técnica la encuesta y los instrumentos: cuestionario de conocimiento sobre tratamiento de anemia (Validez 81,43% y confiabilidad 80,5%) y cuestionario Morisky – Green (sensibilidad 0,64), especificidad (0.79) y eficiencia (0.73). Los resultados fueron: que del 100% (55), un 49,1% (27) de madres presentaron conocimiento regular acerca del tratamiento de anemia, 34,5% (19) deficiente y 16,4% (9) buena. En cuanto al nivel de adherencia al tratamiento con sulfato ferroso, 52,7% (29) no son adherentes, mientras que 47,3% (26) son adherentes. Por lo que se concluye, que existe relación estadística significativa entre el conocimiento y adherencia al tratamiento de anemia con sulfato ferroso (p= 0,002), en madres con niños de 6 a 23 meses de edad del establecimiento de salud I-4 Bellavista Nanay, Iquitos 2022.
