Factores asociados a la no adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en pacientes con coinfección VIH -TBC en el Hospital Regional de Loreto. 2019-2023

Abstract

Introduction: HIV/TB coinfection is one of the significant health problems facing humanity, particularly in developing countries, including South American countries such as Perú. Since the recognition of HIV in the 1980s, this disease has claimed millions of lives, especially in countries with economic deficiencies. Objective: To identify the factors associated with non-adherence to combination antiretroviral therapy in HIV/TB co-infected patients treated in the Infectious Diseases Department of the Regional Hospital of Loreto from January 2019 to December 2023. Study Population: HIV/TB co-infected patients receiving anti tuberculosis and antiretroviral therapy at the Regional Hospital of Loreto will be studied. Method: The research will be of a quantitative type, using a descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective design. Results: Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis will be used through the SPSS statistical programo version 25. For inferential analysis, the chi-square test will be used for the analysis of qualitative variables with a significance level of P < 0.05. For the analysis of quantitative variables, the Student's t-test will be applied. Conclusions: The study aims to determine the factors associated with non-adherence to antiretroviral treatment in HIV/TB co-infected patients treated at the Regional Hospital of Loreto, in order to generate local evidence on determinants of non adherence in HIV/TB co-infected patients to guide clinical interventions and health policies that increase treatment adherence and reduce morbidity and mortality.

Introducción: La coinfección VIH/TBC es una de los problemas sanitarios relevantes que afronta la humanidad, sobre todo los países en desarrollo, entre ellos los países sudamericanos, como el Perú. Desde el reconocimiento del VIH en los 80, esta enfermedad ha cobrado millones de vidas, sobre todo en los países con carencias económicas. Objetivo: Identificar los factores asociados a no adherencia a la terapia antirretroviral combinada en pacientes coinfectados VIH/TBC atendidos en el servicio de infectología del Hospital Regional de Loreto durante enero 2019–diciembre 2023. Población de Estudio: Se estudiará a los pacientes coinfectados por VIH/TBC que se encuentran recibiendo terapia antituberculosa y antirretroviral en el Hospital Regional de Loreto. Método: La investigación será de tipo cuantitativa, bajo el diseño de descriptivo, transversal, retrospectivo. Resultados: Se usará el análisis estadístico descriptivo e inferencial a través del programa estadístico SPSS versión 25. Para el análisis inferencial se usará la prueba del chi cuadrado para el análisis de variables cualitativas con un nivel de significancia P<0,05. Para el análisis de variables cuantitativas se aplicará la prueba del T de Student. Conclusiones: El estudio busca determinar los factores asociados a no adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en pacientes coinfectados VIH/TBC atendidos en el Hospital Regional de Loreto, con el fin de generar evidencia local sobre determinantes de no adherencia en coinfectados VIH/TBC para orientar intervenciones clínicas y políticas sanitarias que aumenten la adherencia al tratamiento y disminuyan la morbimortalidad.
