Abstract

The research study titled “Tourism Operations of the Cumaceba Curaka Inn Lodge and the Family Economy of the San Antonio del Río Amazonas Peasant Community, 2025” was basic in nature, with a quantitative approach, a descriptive-correlational level, a non-experimental design, and a cross sectional scope. The population and sample consisted of 22 families from the San Antonio del Amazonas Peasant Community, representing 100% of the study population; therefore, census sampling was applied. In the general descriptive results, the Tourism Operations variable reached 100% in the Strongly Agree category, while the Family Economy variable recorded 95% in Strongly Agree, 0% in Neutral, and 5% in Strongly Disagree, showing a highly favorable perception of both variables. In the general inferential results, after the Shapiro-Wilk test confirmed that the data were not normally distributed, Spearman’s rho coefficient was used, yielding a low positive correlation of 0.278 between the Lodge’s tourism operations and the family economy, with a significance level of 0.211, greater than 0.05; therefore, the relationship was not statistically significant. In conclusion, although tourism operations and family economy were rated very favorably by the respondents at the descriptive level, no significant relationship between the two variables was demonstrated at the inferential level; thus, the null hypothesis was accepted and the alternative hypothesis was rejected.
