Aplicativo Timetoast en el diseño de líneas de tiempo en estudiantes de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Jean Piaget, Iquitos 2024

Abstract

The research aimed to examine the impact of using the Timetoast application on improving the design of timelines produced by secondary school students at the Jean Piaget Educational Institution in the city of Iquitos, within the area of Social Sciences. The study was conducted using an experimental approach, under a pre experimental design that involved the administration of a pretest and a posttest to a single group consisting of 117 students, all of whom were included through census sampling. The initial results showed that, prior to the intervention, 52.1% of the students were at a deficient level in timeline design, while 47.9% reached a regular level. After the application of the tool, the posttest revealed that 38.5% were at the regular level and 61.5% achieved a good level, reflecting a significant improvement compared to the initial situation. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the use of the Timetoast application contributed positively to strengthening timeline design among secondary school students at the Jean Piaget Educational Institution during the year 2024.

La investigación se propuso examinar la incidencia del uso del aplicativo Timetoast en la mejora del diseño de líneas del tiempo elaboradas por estudiantes de educación secundaria de la Institución Educativa Jean Piaget, en la ciudad de Iquitos, dentro del área de Ciencias Sociales. El estudio se desarrolló desde un enfoque experimental, bajo un diseño preexperimental que contempló la aplicación de un pretest y un postest a un único grupo conformado por 117 estudiantes, incluidos en su totalidad mediante un muestreo censal. Los resultados iniciales mostraron que, antes de la intervención, el 52,1 % de los estudiantes se encontraba en un nivel deficiente en el diseño de líneas del tiempo, mientras que el 47,9 % alcanzaba un nivel regular. Tras la aplicación del aplicativo, el postest evidenció que el 38,5 % se ubicó en el nivel regular y el 61,5 % logró un nivel bueno, reflejando una mejora significativa frente a la situación inicial. En función de estos resultados, se concluyó que el uso del aplicativo Timetoast favoreció el fortalecimiento del diseño de líneas del tiempo en los estudiantes de educación secundaria de la Institución Educativa Jean Piaget durante el año 2024.
