Factores asociados a la anemia y adherencia del sulfato ferroso en niños de 6 a 35 meses de la IPRESS I-2 Cahuide, San Juan 2024

Abstract

The intention of the research was to investigate the elements linked to anemia and adherence to ferrous sulfate in children under 3 years of age at the IPRESS I-2 CAHUIDE, Iquitos-Nauta 2024 road; and to determine their relationship. We used a quantitative, observational, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 150 children under 3 years of age, of whom 57.3% were female and 42.7% male. For data analysis, the Spearman test was used, considering a significant relationship of 0.05 and a 95% probability. To establish the percentage of anemia, a hemoglobin screening was performed, with the following results: 22% of the children were positive and 78% were negative. For the socioeconomic factors, a survey was conducted with the parents, who had to answer a questionnaire, where the results did not constitute a significant factor in relation to anemia, however, nutritional elements such as the intake of iron containing foods and regularity were significantly associated. Regarding iron adherence, it was observed that the items used were significantly associated. Therefore, it can be inferred that there is a connection between the nutritional variable with iron adherence in frequency of positive cases of anemia in patients under 3 years of age treated at IPRESS I-2, Cahuide, San Juan Bautista 2024.

La intención de la investigación fue indagar los elementos vinculados a la anemia y la adherencia del sulfato ferroso en menores de 3 años del IPRESS I-2 CAHUIDE, carretera Iquitos-Nauta 2024; y determinar su relación. Utilizamos un enfoque cuantitativo, de carácter observacional, descriptivo correlacional y transversal. La muestra estuvo integrada por 150 menores de 3 años de edad, de quienes el 57.3% eran mujeres y el 42.7 % hombres. Para realizar la analítica de datos, se testeo a través de Rho Spearman, considerando un grado de relación significativa 0.05 y un 95% de probabilidad. Para establecer el porcentaje de anemia, se realizó un tamizaje de Hemoglobina, adquiriendo los siguientes resultados: 22% de los niños eran positivo y el 78%, negativos. Para los factores socioeconómicos, se realizó una encuesta donde los apoderados, que tuvieron que responder un cuestionario, donde los resultados no constituyo un factor significativo en relación con anemia, no obstante, los elementos nutricionales como la ingesta de alimentos que contienen hierro como la regularidad se asociaron en manera significativa. En cuanto a la adherencia de hierro, se observó que los Ítems utilizados se asociaron de manera significativa. Por tanto, se puede inferir que hay conexión entre la variable nutricional con la adherencia de hierro en frecuencia de casos positivos a anemia en pacientes menores de 3 años atendidos en la IPRESS I-2, Cahuide, San Juan Bautista 2024.
