Adicción a redes sociales y agresividad en estudiantes del nivel secundario colegio Experimental UNAP, San Juan Bautista 2023

Abstract

The study carried out at the UNAP Experimental School, San Juan Bautista during the year 2023, was aimed at confirming the existing association between addiction to social networks and levels of aggression in secondary education students. A confirmatory approach was adopted, with a correlational and transversal design, and there was a representative sample of 218 randomly selected students. For data collection, two questionnaires were used that allowed the variables in question to be evaluated. The findings of the study revealed a significant correlation between the intensive use of social networks and aggressiveness in students (Spearman's Rho 0.743) (p<0.05), thus corroborating the initially proposed hypothesis. Furthermore, it was identified that 25.7% of the participants had high levels of addiction to these digital platforms, 59.6% had a moderate level, and only 14.7% showed a low level. In relation to aggressiveness, 25.7% of the students showed high rates of this behavior. 60.1% registered moderate levels of aggressiveness and only 14.2% were characterized as having low levels of aggressiveness. The study revealed an important and positive correlation between the obsession with these platforms (with a correlation coefficient of 0.659), as well as the difficulty in controlling personal use of them (with a coefficient of 0.784), which are closely linked to a use excessive network (with a coefficient of 0.676) and aggressiveness in secondary students of the aforementioned school, confirming the validity of the specific research hypotheses formulated.

El estudio realizado en el Colegio Experimental UNAP, San Juan Bautista durante el año 2023, estuvo dirigido a confirmar la asociación existente entre la adicción a las redes sociales y los niveles de agresividad en alumnos de educación secundaria. Se adoptó un enfoque confirmatorio, con un diseño correlacional y transversal, y se contó con una muestra representativa de 218 estudiantes seleccionados aleatoriamente. Para la recolección de datos, se emplearon dos cuestionarios que permitieron evaluar las variables en cuestión. Los hallazgos del estudio revelaron una correlación significativa entre el uso intensivo de redes sociales y la agresividad en los estudiantes (Rho de Spearman 0,743) (p<0,05), corroborando así la hipótesis planteada inicialmente. Además, se identificó que un 25,7% de los participantes presentaban niveles elevados de adicción a estas plataformas digitales, un 59,6% presentó un nivel moderado, y sólo un 14,7% evidenció un nivel bajo. En relación con la agresividad, el 25,7% de los alumnos mostraron altos índices de este comportamiento. Un 60,1% registró niveles moderados de agresividad y solo un 14,2% se caracterizó por tener niveles bajos de agresividad. El estudio reveló una correlación importante y positiva entre la obsesión por estas plataformas (con un coeficiente de correlación de 0,659), así como la dificultad para controlar el uso personal de las mismas (con un coeficiente de 0,784), están estrechamente vinculadas con una utilización excesiva de las redes (con un coeficiente de 0,676) y la agresividad en los estudiantes secundarios del colegio mencionado, confirmando la validez de las hipótesis específicas de investigación formuladas.
