Cuidado materno y estado nutricional, anemia en niños atendidos en el centro de salud Bellavista Nanay, Punchana 2019

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal care and nutritional status, anemia in children from 6 to 11 months and 29 days of the Bellavista Nanay Health Center, Punchana 2019. The method used was quantitative, non-experimental design, descriptive, correlational, transversal, prospective. The sample consisted of 170 children between 6 and 11 months and 29 days and their mothers. As instruments, a questionnaire on maternal care during lactation and complementary feeding, a record sheet on maternal care in immunizations, supplementation with micronutrients and/or iron and Growth and Development Control, and a record sheet on nutritional status and anemia were applied. The results were, of 170 (100%) children in the study, 44,7% received poor maternal care, 31.8% good and 23.5% regular; 71.2% presented normal nutritional status and 54.1% did not present anemia. A statistical association was found between maternal care and nutritional status (p=0.001) and maternal care and anemia (p=0.044). Regarding the relationship between the dimensions of maternal care with nutritional status, a statistical association was found in immunizations (p=0.004), complementary feeding (p = 0.035), supplementation with micronutrients and/or iron (p=0.001) and growth and development control (p=0.000). Regarding the relationship between the dimensions of maternal care with anemia, a statistical association was found in complementary feeding (p=0.010), supplementation with micronutrients and/or iron (p=0.016) and growth and development control (p=0.017). It is concluded that there is a statistical association between maternal care with nutritional status and anemia, in children treated at the Bellavista Nanay Health Center, Punchana 2019, accepting the research hypothesis.

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre cuidado materno y estado nutricional, anemia en niños de 6 a 11 meses y 29 días del Centro de Salud Bellavista Nanay, Punchana 2019. El método empleado fue cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional, transversal, prospectivo. La muestra fue conformada por 170 niños entre 6 y 11 meses y 29 días y sus madres. Como instrumentos se aplicó un cuestionario sobre cuidado materno en lactancia y alimentación complementaria, una ficha de registro de cuidado materno en inmunizaciones, suplementación con micronutrientes y/o hierro y Control de Crecimiento y Desarrollo y una ficha de registro sobre estado nutricional y anemia. Los resultados fueron de 170 (100%) niños en estudio, 44,7% recibió cuidado materno deficiente, 31,8% bueno y 23,5% regular; 71,2% presentó estado nutricional normal y 54.1% no presentó anemia. Se encontró asociación estadística entre cuidado materno y estado nutricional (p=0,001) y cuidado materno y anemia (p=0,044). Respecto a la relación entre las dimensiones del cuidado materno con el estado nutricional, se encontró asociación estadística en inmunizaciones (p=0,004), alimentación complementaria (p=0,035), suplementación con micronutrientes y/o hierro (p=0,001) y control de crecimiento y desarrollo (p=0,000). En cuanto a la relación entre las dimensiones del cuidado materno con anemia, se encontró asociación estadística en alimentación complementaria (p=0,010), suplementación con micronutrientes y/o hierro (p=0,016) y control de crecimiento y desarrollo (p=0,017). Se concluye que existe asociación estadística entre el cuidado materno con el estado nutricional y la anemia, en niños atendidos en el Centro de Salud Bellavista Nanay, Punchana 2019, aceptándose la hipótesis de investigación.
