Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en las instalaciones de las facultades de Farmacia y Bioquímica, Enfermería y Odontología, el objetivo fue determinar las principales características de la Automedicación de los estudiantes de las facultades mencionadas, se realizó un diseño descriptivo, prospectivo y Transversal con un muestreo estratificado, se realizó una encuesta directa y se tomó en cuenta a todos los estudiantes activos del II semestre- 2016 de la UNAP, los resultados obtenidos fueron los siguientes: los estudiantes de la facultad de Farmacia y bioquímica fue la que mayor porcentaje consume medicamentos sin prescripción médica (95.8%), seguido de los estudiantes la Facultad de enfermería (85.4%) y Odontología que fue de (65.4%), con respecto a los síntomas que motivaron la automedicación en las tres facultades en estudio la principal causa fue dolor de cabeza, menstrual y garganta con (23.8%), (25.3%) y (28.9%) por facultad respectivamente; en los tipos de medicamentos utilizados se obtuvo que los analgésicos, antiinflamatorios, antifebriles, antigripales y descongestionantes nasales son los más usados con (18.2%), (25.9%) y (24.8%) por facultad respectivamente; dentro de los motivos por el cual consumen medicamentos se encontró que la levedad de síntomas, motivos económicos y falta de tiempo son los de mayor porcentaje con (39.2%), (35.4%) y (53.7%) por facultad respectivamente; en cuanto al tipo de publicidad que influye al consumo de medicamento sin prescripción la televisión y el internet tienen mayor influencia con (71.9%), (70.3%) y (73.8%) por facultad respectivamente; de esto se puede concluir.
The study was carried out in the facilities of the faculties of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Nursing and Dentistry; Aims to determine the main characteristics of self-medication in students of the second semester – 2016 of UNAP were taken into account. The results obtained are as follows: The students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry were the ones with the highest percentage of non-prescription medicines (95.8%), followed by students from the Faculty of nursing (85.4%) and Dentistry (65.4%), with respect to the symptoms that motivated self-medication in three faculties under study, the main cause was headache, mestrual and troat with (23.8%), (25.3%), and (28.9%) by faculty respectively; in the types of drugs used, analgesics, anti-inflamatories, antifebrile drugs, anti-fluids and nasal decongestants were the most used (18.2%), (25.9%) and (24.8%) by faculty, respectively, were found to be consumed as for the type of adversiting that influences the consumption of nonprescription medication, televisión and the Internet have a greater influence with (71.9%), (70.3%) and (73.8%) per faculty respectively, this can be congruent.
