Abstract
El objetivo del presente trabajo fue Describir y evaluar el manejo de residuos
de acuerdo a criterios ambientales. Además se incorpora los aspectos
relacionados a Seguridad y Salud en Trabajo, con la finalidad establecer si la
actividad de gestión de residuos sólidos tiene un impacto significativo en el
ambiente o genera riesgos significativos a la seguridad de sus trabajadores,
todo ello con la finalidad de proponer mejoras en el desarrollo de esta
actividad. El método utilizado fue descriptivo el tipo de, porque consistió en
evaluar, identificar y caracterizar los diferentes residuos a través de
parámetros normativos y criterios de manejo adecuado, utilizando las
herramientas de descripción estadística correlativa, los análisis diversos y
estudios anteriores, tales como: Check list, Análisis ¿Qué pasa si….? (WHAT
IF…?); Inspecciones Externas cuantitativo-deductivo y diseño empleado
correspondió a un estudio de investigación descriptiva correlacional. Los
resultados respecto a la identificación de las condiciones del almacenamiento
de los residuos y demás sustancias peligrosas, indican que no se cumple con
las condiciones mínimas. Entre los residuos que se generan predominan los
aceites usados, waypes y borra de hidrocarburo en las centrales
termoeléctricas. De acuerdo a la identificación de peligros y aspectos
ambientales, se encontró que la actividad de Almacenamiento y
Reaprovechamiento de Combustibles Usados presento los valores más altos
de riesgos e impactos ambientales (9 – significativo), calificado por lo tanto
como INTOLERABLE. Cabe mencionar que la mayoría de las actividades
presentaron como producto de la evaluación riesgos e impactos significativos
(6), calificado como IMPORTANTE.
The aim of this study was to describe and evaluate the management of waste according to environmental criteria. Besides issues related to Safety and Health at Work, in order to establish whether the activity of solid waste management has a significant impact on the environment or generate significant safety risks of their workers is incorporated, all with the aim of proposing improvements in the development of this activity. The method used was descriptive type, because it was to assess, identify and characterize the different waste through policy parameters and criteria of sound management, using the tools of statistical description correlative, different analysis and earlier studies such as: Check list, Analysis What if ....? (WHAT IF ...?); external quantitative -deductive inspections and design employed a correlational descriptive research study. The results regarding the identification of the conditions of storage of waste and other hazardous substances, indicate that not met the minimum conditions. Among the waste generated they are dominated by oils, hydrocarbon and clears waypes in power plants. According to the identification of hazards and environmental aspects, it was found that the activity of Fuel Storage and Reuse Used presented the highest values of environmental risks and impacts (9 - significant), thus qualifying as intolerable. It is noteworthy that most of the activities presented as a product of the risk.
