Abstract
This research work stated the problem as: To what extent human development is related to environmental culture in residents of the lower zone of Belen - 2019? The objective was: to determine the existence of correlation and relationship between human development and environmental culture, to quantify the level of human development of the inhabitants, to quantify the level of environmental culture of the inhabitants. The general hypothesis was: the human development has a direct relationship with the environmental culture of the inhabitants. The sample of study consisted of 169 people, out of a population over 10000, the research design was non-experimental, prospective and correlational. The data collection technique was the structured survey, applying the questionnaire of closed questions as an instrument, which was validated by two experts; It was obtained 0.880 for the human development variable and 0.806 for the environmental culture variable according to Cronbach's alpha coefficient, coefficients considered as good, indicating that the instrument is reliable. The results found were that the human development variable reached a score of 2.73 and the environmental culture variable a score of 2.11, both considered as poor. In general terms, it is reported that there is a correlation and direct relationship between human development and environmental culture, a valid affirmation up to 95% confidence, thus accepting the hypothesis proposed.
