Abstract
De marzo a junio de 2018 se estudió la diversidad de aves acuáticas y
ribereñas en época de creciente en el bosque de complejo de orillares al este
de Iquitos, río Itaya, mediante censo en canoa. La riqueza específica estuvo
conformada por 72 especies de aves, con predominancia de especies
pertenecientes al orden Passeriformes (32 especies) y un índice de diversidad
de Shannon de 3.255 que indica una alta diversidad. La abundancia relativa
estuvo predominada por la categoría de bastante común con 27 especies y
raro con 23 especies, mientras que la densidad más alta lo presentaron
Jacana jacana con 65 grupos y 245 ind/km2 y Brotogeris versicolurus con 43
grupos y 248 ind/km2. Se concluye que la zona de Complejo de Orillares tiene
una alta diversidad de aves acuáticas y ribereñas en época de creciente con
una riqueza de 72 especies y la abundancia más altas lo presentan pocas
especies como Jacana jacana y Brotogeris versicolorus.
