Abstract
El estudio tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre la calidad del agua de consumo doméstico —evaluada mediante parámetros físicos, químicos y microbiológicos— y las dinámicas socioambientales en la comunidad Isla Iquitos, Loreto. Se enmarca en un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo relacional y diseño no experimental, transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 120 familias, aplicándose un muestreo no probabilístico tipo censo con 82 jefes de hogar. Los resultados evidencian que las prácticas socioculturales se caracterizan por el uso predominante del río como fuente de abastecimiento, con tratamiento doméstico limitado y percepción dividida del riesgo sanitario. Los factores ambientales presentan condiciones desfavorables, tales como presencia de residuos sólidos, distancias al punto de captación y frecuentes inundaciones, lo que incrementa la vulnerabilidad del recurso hídrico. En cuanto a la organización comunal, se observa participación en actividades colectivas y reconocimiento de acuerdos locales, aunque con escasa gestión ante autoridades externas. El análisis de la calidad del agua muestra mejoras significativas tras el tratamiento, especialmente en la reducción de turbidez y carga microbiológica, destacando su importancia para la salud pública. Se concluye que existe una relación funcional entre la calidad del agua y las dinámicas socioambientales, donde las prácticas comunitarias, las condiciones del entorno y la gestión local influyen directamente en la sostenibilidad del recurso hídrico.
The study aims to determine the relationship between domestic water quality— assessed through physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters—and socio environmental dynamics in the Isla Iquitos community, Loreto. It follows a quantitative approach, with a relational type and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 120 families, and a non-probabilistic census-type sampling was applied, including 82 household heads. The results indicate that sociocultural practices are characterized by the predominant use of river water as the main source, with limited household treatment and a divided perception of health risks. Environmental factors reveal unfavorable conditions, such as the presence of solid waste, distances to water collection points, and frequent flooding, which increase the vulnerability of the water resource. Regarding communal organization, there is participation in collective activities and recognition of local agreements; however, there is limited engagement with external authorities. Water quality analysis shows significant improvements after treatment, particularly in the reduction of turbidity and microbiological load, highlighting its importance for public health. It is concluded that there is a functional relationship between water quality and socio-environmental dynamics, where community practices, environmental conditions, and local management directly influence the sustainability of water resources.
