Rendición de cuentas y participación ciudadana en el distrito de Contamana 2025

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the relationship between accountability and citizen participation in the district of Contamana, 2025. This was a basic research study, with a quantitative approach, a descriptive correlational level, and a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 379 residents, who were surveyed as a data collection instrument. The results showed that accountability in the district was rated as average, with a score of 32%. This is explained by the fact that the majority of residents believe that the municipality almost always reports the results of its management in a clear and understandable manner. However, only occasionally is the municipality's financial and budgetary information published in a manner accessible to citizens. Regarding citizen participation, this was also rated as average, with a score of 33%. Respondents indicated that the municipality occasionally provides useful and easily accessible information. However, they emphasize that official documents and communications are almost always presented in clear and understandable language. Finally, it is concluded that there is a high positive correlation (r = 0.723) between accountability and citizen participation, with a level of statistical significance (sig. = 0.000 < 0.01). Consequently, the alternative hypothesis is accepted and it is established that both variables are significantly related.

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la rendición de cuentas y la participación ciudadana en el distrito de Contamana, 2025. Se trató de una investigación de tipo básico, con un enfoque cuantitativo, de nivel descriptivo correlacional y diseño no experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 379 habitantes, a quienes se les aplicó una encuesta como instrumento de recolección de datos. Los resultados evidenciaron que la rendición de cuentas en el distrito fue valorada como regular, obteniendo un 32%. Esto se explica porque la mayoría de los habitantes considera que la municipalidad casi siempre informa de manera clara y comprensible sobre los resultados de su gestión. Sin embargo, solo en algunas ocasiones se publica información financiera y presupuestal del municipio de forma accesible para los ciudadanos. En cuanto a la participación ciudadana, esta también fue calificada como regular, con un 33%. Los encuestados señalaron que la municipalidad, en ocasiones, proporciona información útil y de fácil acceso. No obstante, destacan que los documentos y comunicados oficiales casi siempre se presentan en un lenguaje claro y comprensible. Finalmente, se concluye que existe una correlación positiva alta (r = 0,723) entre la rendición de cuentas y la participación ciudadana, con un nivel de significancia estadística (sig. = 0,000 < 0,01). En consecuencia, se acepta la hipótesis alternativa y se establece que ambas variables están significativamente relacionadas.
