Abstract

The present study aimed to determine the relationship between sociodemographic and family factors with the presence of Burnout syndrome in health personnel at a level III-1 hospital of the MINSA in Iquitos during the year 2024. A quantitative approach was adopted with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 210 health professionals from the Regional Hospital of Loreto. For data collection, the survey technique was used, using two instruments: a registration form of sociodemographic and family variables prepared by the researcher, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 27.0 software, applying the nonparametric Chi square (X²) test with a confidence level of 95% and an alpha value (α) of 0.05. The findings revealed that 45.2% of the participants were between 30 and 45 years old; 62.9% were women; 48.1% were in the medical category; 80.5% were appointed; 37.1% worked in the medical service; 46.2% had more than 10 years' experience with the institution, and 32.9% had between 1 and 3 years of current employment.
