El gasto público en control migratorio y la percepción de inseguridad ciudadana en la región Loreto 2012-2021

Abstract

The objective of this thesis was to determine the estimated effect of public spending on immigration control on the perception of citizen insecurity in the Loreto region 2012-2021. To achieve this, the statistical records on public spending on immigration control destined for the Loreto region, and people aged 15 and over residing in the aforementioned region during the period 2012-2021, were considered as the study population. The quantitative investigation was of the correlational-causal level, in which it was determined that there is a moderate negative relationship of -48% between the variables under study. Contrasting the general hypothesis, the research concluded through the OLS method that, when public spending on migration control increases by 10%, the perception of citizen insecurity decreases by -0.258%.

El objetivo de la presente tesis fue determinar el efecto estimado del gasto público en control migratorio sobre la percepción de inseguridad ciudadana en la región Loreto 2012-2021. Para lograrlo, se consideró como población de estudio a los registros estadísticos sobre gasto público en control migratorio destinado a la región Loreto, y, las personas de 15 y más años de edad que residen en la región mencionada durante el periodo 2012-2021. La investigación cuantitativa fue de nivel el correlacional-causal, en la cual se determinó que existe relación negativa moderada de -48% entre las variables objeto de estudio. Contrastando la hipótesis general, la investigación concluyó mediante el método de MCO que, cuando el gasto público en control migratorio destinado crece en 10%, la percepción de inseguridad ciudadana disminuye en -0.258%.
