Abstract
This study aimed to identify how human resource management influences the job performance of employees at the Provincial Municipality of Maynas in 2026. The research employed a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach with a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 146 municipal employees, who were administered a validated structured questionnaire that underwent reliability analysis. The SPSS software was used for data processing, applying descriptive analyses and simple linear regression. The inferential results showed that human resource management has a positive and statistically significant influence on job performance (R = 0.262; R² = 0.069; p = 0.001), although with low explanatory power. At the dimensional level, planning and recruitment showed the greatest relative influence, followed by training and professional development, while employee evaluation and motivation showed the least effect. Descriptively, human resource management is perceived as functional in its structural processes, although with weaknesses in evaluation and recognition. Job performance, on the other hand, shows high levels of commitment, responsibility, and orientation toward achieving institutional goals. It is concluded that human talent management constitutes a significant factor in job performance; however, the latter responds to a broader set of organizational variables, which highlights the need to strengthen strategic human resource management from a comprehensive and sustainable perspective.
