Intervención de enfermería en riesgo de ideación suicida en estudiantes del nivel secundario Iquitos 2024

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of a nursing intervention on the risk of suicidal ideation in 4th and 5th year secondary school students at the Loreto Secondary School for Minors in Iquitos, 2025. The research was quantitative and employed a quasi-experimental design, comparing the results before and after the nursing intervention with a sample of 40 students. Pre- and post-tests were administered using the Beck Scale for Suicidal Ideation. The program was implemented and evaluated using Student's t-test with a significance level of α < 0.05, comparing pre- and post-test results. Cohen's d was also used to measure the effect size of the intervention. The main results were: The mean age was 16.5 years, with a predominance of males (60%) compared to females (40%). In the pretest, 97.5% of participants presented a risk of suicidal ideation, while in the posttest this risk decreased to 62.5%, with 37.5% showing no risk. The study used the paired Student's t-test, with a p value < 0.001. The study concluded that the effect size, calculated using Cohen's d, was 0.834, revealing a significant positive effect of the nursing intervention in reducing the risk of suicidal ideation in 4th and 5th year secondary school students at the Loreto Secondary School in Iquitos, 2025. This effect also showed a high correlation strength, allowing the research hypothesis to be accepted.

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el efecto de la intervención de enfermería en riesgo de ideación suicida en estudiantes de 4to y 5to de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Secundaria de Menores Loreto, Iquitos, 2025. La investigación fue de tipo cuantitativa y el diseño experimental, en su modalidad cuasi experimental, donde se compararon los resultados antes y después de la intervención de enfermería, con una muestra de 40 estudiantes. Se utilizó la técnica de encuesta de entrada y de salida, el instrumento fue: La Escala de Ideación Suicida de Beck. Se aplicó el programa y se evaluó mediante la prueba estadística t de Student con un nivel de significancia α < 0.05 comparando pre y post test. Así como la d de Cohen para medir el tamaño del efecto de la intervención. Los principales resultados fueron: La media de edad fue 16,5 años, con predominancia del sexo masculino (60%) frente a mujeres (40%). En el pretest el 97.5% presentó riesgo de ideación suicida, mientras que en el post test este riesgo disminuyó a 62.5%, logrando que el 37.5% no presentara riesgo. El estudio utilizó la prueba estadística inferencial T de Student para muestras apareadas, con un p<0.001. Se concluyó que, el tamaño del efecto, calculado con la d de Cohen es 0,834, el cual revela un efecto positivo significativo de la intervención de enfermería en la reducción del riesgo de ideación suicida en estudiantes de 4to y 5to de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Secundaria de Menores Loreto, Iquitos 2025 y que tiene una alta fuerza de correlación permitiéndose aprobar la hipótesis de investigación.
