Abstract
The noise levels of a developing city, denote the inhabitants´ quality of life, therefore the currente research work ainmed to assess the noise levels given out by the gas stations (San Juan Bautista district) and its possible effects. The quasi-experimental model was used in this research. The data was gathered from the different public institutions related to environmental issues and in direct way by using a sonometer type 1 and following the National Protocol of Environmental noise Monitoring RS N227-2013-MINAM, thus schedules were established: Diurnal schedule from 07:01 to 22:00 and Nocturnal schedule from 22:01 to 07:00. The data was documented and georeferenced, after were analyzed by sofware SPSS and excel, finally were compared with the Environmental quality standards (DS N° 085-2003-PCM). As main results can be concluded that noise levels emitted do not exceed the máximum permissible limit set, moreover yhose ones do not generate damage to heath.
