Adherencia terapéutica en pacientes con infección del tracto urinario en un hospital de Iquitos 2024

Abstract

This study evaluated the effectiveness of therapeutic adherence in 47 patients with urinary tract infection (UTI) treated at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of Hospital III - Iquitos, EsSalud, from 2024 to 2025. Using a quantitative, prospective, analytical, observational, and cross-sectional methodology, pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and the Morisky-Green test were employed to determine treatment compliance. The results showed that 53.2% of patients experienced Drug-Related Problems type 5 (DRP5), and therapeutic adherence increased to 63.8% post-follow-up. It was concluded that treatment adherence was effective, allowing for the resolution of DRPs and the remission of clinical cases such as pain and inflammation.

El estudio llego a evaluar la eficacia de la adherencia terapéutica en 47 pacientes con infección del tracto urinario (ITU) atendidos en el consultorio de Gineco-Obstetricia del Hospital III - Iquitos, EsSalud diciembre 2024 hasta Julio 2025. Mediante una metodología cuantitativa, prospectiva, analítica, observacional y transversal, se empleó el seguimiento farmacoterapéutico y el test de Morisky-Green para determinar el cumplimiento del tratamiento. Los resultados que se evidenciaron fueron: Problemas Relacionados con el medicamento tipo 5 (PRM5) con un 53,2% y la adherencia terapéutica se incrementó al 63,8% post-seguimiento. Se concluye que la adherencia al tratamiento fue eficaz, permitiendo resolver los PRM y la remisión de casos clínicos, tales como dolor e inflamación.
