Abstract
Este estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el efecto de los hábitos alimentarios,
el nivel socioeconómico y la actividad física en el estado nutricional de los
estudiantes del nivel secundario de la I.E. Petronila Perea de Ferrando.
Punchana 2017. Es una investigación de tipo cuantitativo, no experimental, de
diseño correlacional. La muestra fue de 170 (sexo masculino: 88/sexo femenino:
82). Los instrumentos utilizados fueron: encuesta de hábitos alimentarios,
encuesta de nivel socioeconómico, encuesta de actividad física, ficha de
evaluación nutricional. Se encontró que el 77% de los alumnos presenta estado
nutricional normal, 27% desnutrición, 12% sobrepeso; el 54,7% presenta un nivel
socioeconómico medio, 45,3% bajo y ninguno se ubicó en el nivel
socioeconómico alto. El nivel de actividad física de los estudiantes fue: 29,4%
actividad física ligera, 50,6% actividad física moderada y 20% actividad física
intensa. En relación a los hábitos alimentarios se observó que, el 64,7% presentó
hábitos saludables y el 35,3% hábitos no saludables. En relación al estado
nutricional según talla/edad, el 79,4% presentó talla normal, mientras que el
20,6% presentó talla baja; ninguno se ubicó en talla alta. Conclusión: Se encontró
relación entre los hábitos alimentarios y el nivel socioeconómico.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of eating habits, socioeconomic status and physical activity on the nutritional status of students at the secondary level of the I.E. Petronila Perea de Ferrando. Punchana 2017. It is a quantitative research, not experimental, correlational design. The sample was 170 (male: 88 / female: 82). The instruments used were: food habits survey, socioeconomic level survey, physical activity survey, nutritional evaluation file. It was found that 77% of the students presented normal nutritional status, 27% malnutrition, 12% overweight; 54,7% presented an average socioeconomic level, 45,3% low and none was located in the high socioeconomic level. The level of physical activity of the students was: 29,4% light physical activity, 50,6% moderate physical activity and 20% intense physical activity. Regarding eating habits, it was observed that 64.7% presented healthy habits and 35.3% unhealthy habits. In relation to the nutritional status according to size / age, 79,4% presented normal size, while 20,6% presented short stature; none was placed in tall size. Conclusion: A relationship was found between eating habits and socioeconomic status.
