Abstract

This explanatory research with retrospective, cross-sectional, multivariate and field designs aimed to explain the influence of information and communication technologies used during the COVID-19 pandemic on oral communication in English in third-grade secondary school students in educational institutions of the district of Saint John Baptist 2023. The study population was 1,484 students, of which 197 cases made up the stratified sample. The results show that the strength of correlation between the use of ICTs and oral communication in English is inversely very low (Rho = -.065) and not very significant (p = 0.366 > ɑ = 0.5), therefore, it is concluded that, since there is no relationship between both events, there can be no influence.
