Valoración económica del servicio ambiental de la reserva de carbono en dos ecosistemas boscosos del CIEFOR en Puerto Almendra, San Juan Bautista – Perú, 2024

Abstract

The economic valuation study of the carbon sequestration environmental service was conducted in two forest ecosystems: a low-lying terrace forest and a varillal forest. The research employed a non-experimental, quantitative approach. A total of 267 trees were recorded in the low-lying terrace forest ecosystem and 390 trees in the varillal forest ecosystem, representing 40.6% and 59.4% of the study area, respectively. The low-lying terrace forest contained 846,308 tons of biomass and 423,154 tons of carbon, while the varillal forest contained 83,844 tons of biomass and 41,922 tons of carbon. The greater variability was observed in the low-lying terrace, indicating the coexistence of small and very large trees. The low-lying terrace sequestered 1,552,975 tons of CO₂.2and is valued at US$1,801,451, and with respect to varillal, it fixes 153,854 t of CO2 and is valued at US$178,470. Based on the hypothesis test, it is accepted that the economic valuation of the environmental services of the carbon reserve shows a significant difference between the tree species of two forest ecosystems of CIEFOR in Puerto Almendra, San Juan Bautista – Peru, 2024.

El estudio de valoración económica del servicio ambiental de reserva de carbono tuvo lugar en dos ecosistemas boscosos; un bosque de terraza baja y otro en bosque de varillal. Siendo la investigación de enfoque cuantitativo no experimental. Se registraron 267 individuos arbóreos en el ecosistema boscoso de terraza baja y 390 individuos arbóreos en el ecosistema boscoso de varillal representando el 40,6% y 59,4% del área de estudio. En terraza baja existe 846,308 t de biomasa y 423,154 t de carbono y en varillal tiene 83,844 t de biomasa y 41,922 t de carbono, dando lugar a que la mayor variabilidad está en terraza baja, lo que indica la coexistencia de árboles pequeños y muy grandes. Terraza baja fija 1552,975 t de CO2 y esta valorizado en 1801,451 dólares americanos y con respecto al varillal, fija 153,854 t de CO2 y esta valorizado en 178,470 dólares americano. Ante la prueba de hipótesis se acepta que la valoración económica de los servicios ambientales de la reserva de carbono existe diferencia significativa entre las especies arbóreas de dos ecosistemas boscosos del CIEFOR en Puerto Almendra, San Juan Bautista – Perú, 2024.
